A platform to engage Interstellar fans more deeply than any other home entertainment service.
Set against a depleted Earth, Intersteller is about finding an alternative home in the universe. Inspired by this premise, Google created a time capsule film from user content.
The teaser (above) featuring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain, kicked the project off.
Google asked: "What best represents mankind's time on Earth?" and people submitted video, audio, writing, art, and music in response.
As story was crafted from the themes that emerged from the user generated submissions.
The resulting film, EMIC , was released as extra content for Google Play subscribers when Interstellar became available for streaming.
